Say Anything

If there's one band I can see over and over again (and have actually done so), it's Say Anything.

They've been my favorite band for years and last Tuesday, Nov. 10, I saw them for my 15th time. You'd think that seeing them that much would get old after a while, but it doesn't. They're one of those bands that feeds off of the pulsating energy of their audience and encourages sing-a-longs that drown their front man, Max Bemis, out. They even give longtime fans precious little gifts, like a performance of "Colorblind," a song from their pre-major label days. They also show a great deal of appreciation for their fan base and they make sure their fans know it.

Say Anything may not change the face of music or be remembered for their craft long after they are all dead and gone, but I really don't give a damn. They're a truly talented band, and Max Bemis is a lyrical genius - hands down.

Check out their performance of "Colorblind" at the Philly date. I found it to be AWESOME.
