GooGoo For GaGa

Most people who don't call themselves fans of Lady GaGa simply brush her off because of her crazy ensembles and controversial music videos and performances. And when it comes down to it, that's really all they see. They don't take the time to understand that each one of her ridiculous outfits actually stands for or symbolizes something, that her lyrics are just as poetic as they are racy, that her voice is unbelievable and she can actually sing, and that she takes a stand for issues that many other artists today wouldn't even think about.

Lady GaGa is an artist, an incredible performer and an inspiration.

One of the reasons I say all that is because I saw her Monster Ball a few weeks ago when it made its trip to Philadelphia and I was completely blown away. GaGa performed a two hour set that included multiple stage and costume changes and she performed her biggest hits including "Just Dance," "Poker Face," "Paparazzi" and "Telephone." Her choreography was consistently in sync and her voice never faltered (no lip syncing required). She cracked jokes about her gender, made the entire audience know that "you don't have to fit in to be a winner" and praised her Little Monsters for being true to who they are.

Now, before you go and brush off everything I've proclaimed to love about GaGa, especially her talent, watch this video of her performing her ballad entitled "Speechless." If you thought she was a talentless wacko before, I promise this will change your mind (at least to some extent).

gaga is old news and certainly an overrated "talent". Vocalists such as her are a dime a dozen. She has to put out the freak flag to gather attention to her otherwise mindless drivel that is pedaled as genius. Her 15 minutes are ticking away as she lacks the staying power of a genuine talent.

If this blog is to ever have any credibility you may consider writing about those who truly are talnted. There is so much out there to write about that is not more of the same main street vanilla “talent”. Try to open your mind to something new and cutting wedge that has not been on the radar of every music writer in the WORLD.

You truly are a narrow minded when it comes to music (see previous blogs) and my guess not so much of a music junkie as you are a follower of trendy pop crap.
